Foster relationships are vital to our Rescue Mission, as they serve as both the foundation upon which our Goldens establish a new life... and a bridge between the fear and uncertainty of their past and the unconditional love of their future forever home.

Our Goldens often feel scared and distrustful, but as all Goldens... they yearn to learn!

The foster home offers a secure home environment where they learn of love, comfort, boundaries and manners. And the insight provided by the foster relationship plays a key role in matching a Golden with a forever adoption opportunity..

GRRH is founded on the love and honor of Golden Retrievers. Inspired by the joys and memories of sharing our lives with a Golden, our volunteers give countless and tireless hours of time to find, transport, foster, train and support and find loving forever homes for those less fortunate.

As part of the GRRH Mission, we often rescue beautiful and deserving Goldens that other organizations overlook. For that reason, many of the Goldens taken into the GRRH family are suffering in some way from neglect or abuse.

We also opt for treatment protocols that are more costly in order to minimize the impact on the spirit and lifespan of our precious Goldens. Recovery time is often longer, and the costs of such treatments are often staggering... but the investment is worthwhile, as we watch each Golden recover and move into the forever home they need and deserve.

And frankly, there's no more honorable and fitting way to celebrate the life of a Golden Retriever who's loved... than to dedicate time or funds toward one who's so fortunate!
