Foster Information

The backbone of GRRH is our foster homes. In fact, we are limited to how many Goldens we can take into our program by the number of available foster homes.

Fostering a Golden means caring for it as if it were your own — providing nourishment, exercise, basic obedience, security and love. The Golden is entrusted into your care until a permanent home can be found.

Many of the Goldens have been abused or neglected. The care and love you provide is critical in enabling the Golden to successfully adapt to a permanent home.

We take care to match the right dog to the right foster home. We consider the foster's experience, the dog's activity level, health and behavioral conditions, as well as other aspects.

The foster also serves to evaluate the behavior, habits and health of the Golden to help us in placing the Golden in the right adoptive home.
