On the first Saturday of each month, you
can meet GRRH volunteers and some of our available dogs at
Cooper Animal Clinic, 1136 Heights Blvd. from 10 am till 3 pm.
Here are some highlights of the December adoption day.

2nd Annual Doggone Good Value Wines from Around the World
GRRH's Second Annual
"Doggone Good Value Wines from Around the World" Fundraiser held at the
French Alliance on April 27 was a huge success, raising much needed funds to
help with GRRH's vet bills!

The
wine was great! This generous group of people got together at their table
at GRRH's April 27th Wine Tasting fundraiser, and raised an additional $1200
among themselves to support our rescue efforts. Here, left to right are Ann
and Bud Castner, Mike Hiney, Phil Stevensen, Cindy Barnard, Greg Brazaitis,
Melinda Wineinger (Joanie Patrick of GRRH accepts the donation as Cane,
Pecos and Travis look on approvingly) and Marcy Brazaitis. Thanks a million
to these wonderful friends of GRRH who really understand both the meaning
and the financial realities of rescue!
2nd Annual Fund-raising Dinner in Memory of Lucia at La Mora Cucina
Toscana
Our 2nd annual fund-raising dinner at La Mora was a HUGE success!
60 guests enjoyed a Tuscan meal prepared by
La Mora's Chef/Proprietor Lynette Hawkins in memory of her Golden,
Lucia, who passed away last year. The dinner and silent auction raised
over $11,000 to help defray GRRH's veterinary expenses, only about half
of which are covered by our adoption contributions. A great time for a
great cause was had by all!
