raise money.
GRRH Annual Fundraiser "Under
a Golden Tuscan Sun" - October 23, 2004
Approximately 75 guests
enjoyed a fun-filled evening of food, wine, and a silent auction held at The
French Alliance. A great big "thank you" goes out to the many donors and
sponsors whose generosity made the event a tremendous success!

GRRH Wins 2nd Place at the Old Town
Spring, TX's Christmas Parade on November 8, 2003!
GRRH was represented by 10 Goldens and
attracted over 100 people to its exhibit in front of Jan's Junction. The
"meet 'n greet" Goldens captured the hearts of several potential foster
families and adopters. A great day was had by all!

October 5 for Christ Church Cathedral's Blessing of the
Animals, 3:30-5:30
GRRH volunteers and their Goldens enjoyed an afternoon in the
beautiful courtyard at the Christ Church Cathedral, in observance of
the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis of Assisi loved
all animals. We gave thanks for the gifts of love and beauty which
animals bring to us, especially those who share our lives now and
for those who have been part of our lives in past times. The
ceremony included a reading from Genesis of The Bible, followed by
prayers. Each animal was blessed by the clergy and received a St.
Francis of Assisi medallion.
Garage Sale
- September 13
A Special Thanks: We want to extend a
special thanks to each of you who
supported the GRRH Garage Sale! Many of you donated items,
drinks and bagels, and your time and energy and / or bought items. We
appreciate each and every one of you and all that you did - and continue
to do - to support GRRH. Your support goes a long way in helping us to
help the Goldens that we all love so very much.
The sale was extremely successful - thanks to each of you! All proceeds
will go toward the medical care of the Goldens who come into our
program. Thanks so very much for supporting !
Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows, July 17 - 20
GRRH would like to thank each of you
who dropped by our booth to talk with us! We met so many wonderful
people! Thanks for your interest and for your support in helping us
to help those furry ones we all love so much. Thanks to you, we
raised money to pay for our booth and supplies and a little extra to
help the Goldens! Thank each of you very much!

Our First Event! May 17, 2003
GRRH held their debut celebration on May 17 in The Woodlands. The
fundraiser was graciously hosted by Board member Joan Mast, her husband
Keith, and their three Golden Retrievers, Bob, Gracie and Rhita. The event
included dinner, door prizes, and a silent auction. Airline tickets,
restaurant gift packages, and Golden Retriever artwork were some of the
items available in the auction. The event was a huge success, and we thank
each individual who came out to support Golden rescue.
