My dear, sweet Kimo passed to the other side Sunday morning.  In sickness and in death he was, as he was all of his life, a gentleman…gracious almost to a fault. Kimo demanded little and demonstrated his love and devotion in a restrained and dignified manner. He passed graciously and calmly. We will miss him terribly.  I think everyone who knew the original pack--bongo, our Border Collie mix,  Kimo, our dear Golden, and Keiki, our Pointer mix--finds great solace and comfort knowing that these three loving and much beloved pups are together again--running, swimming, playing, completely free of the illnesses and physical limitations that brought to an end their time with us. Kimo was a wonderful example of a fine breed of dog. I will always be grateful that he found his way into our lives, our home, and our hearts. He was a most loyal friend, companion, and protector (he mistrusted anyone wearing a hardhat). My life is so much richer for having known him.
