OWNER TURN-INS Due to the large number of Goldens needing rescue, we may not be able to immediately take your owner surrender. We are, however, maintaining a list of owners wanting to surrender their Goldens. As foster homes become open, we will begin to take owner surrenders from this list. We will be happy to add you to the waiting list, but please be patient as it could be weeks (or longer) before we can take your Golden. Adoptions are made to qualified candidates. Our requirements for adoption are very thorough and stringent. Rescue work brings us dogs that may have been abused, abandoned, or diseased. Our loving foster families will often spend many long hours caring for and rehabilitating these Goldens. Our goal is to ensure a proper match between the adopting home and the Golden. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED - There is never an end to Goldens in peril who are rescued by GRRH. Foster homes are the bridge between the Golden Retriever rescued by GRRH and their new adoptive family. Foster homes are incredibly important in helping us to learn about a new dog as well as in providing love, comfort, and obedience training to a Golden who is frequently scared and lost. If you can help foster, even short term, please email us and we can find you a dog that is a good match for your home. We have them in all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages.
