Hi! I’m Max – your future best friend!

I’m 10 years young and full of love and life! Don’t let my age fool you! I’m an active, goofy guy who enjoys daily walks and playing with my doggy foster siblings. I’m 63 pounds of happy golden energy, so I’d do best in a home with medium to large dogs who can match my excitement when I play.
I don’t have a single mean bone in my body! I’m gentle and respectful of other dogs’ space, and I’m definitely not interested in being the alpha. I just love everyone, humans and pups alike!

I’m what they call a Velcro golden, which means I’ll be your shadow. Whether you’re making coffee, folding laundry, or binge-watching your favorite show, I’ll be right there beside you. I prefer a home where someone is around most of the time because I just love being part of the action (and snuggles).

I’m potty trained and know several commands. I’m a smart boy! I don’t love the kennel, but if you ask me to go in, I’ll be calm and cooperative (I may whine a little, but hey, who wouldn’t?). That said, if it’s raining, I’d rather skip the kennel and curl up somewhere cozy. I’m not a fan of thunderstorms.

One of the best things about me? I’ll match your energy. Want to go for a long walk or play in the yard? I’m in! Want a lazy day on the couch? Even better. I’m just here to love and be loved.
