Hi, I’m Tex! I’m a 4-year-old with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. Seriously—snuggling is my specialty! I love going on long walks with my foster brother and have plenty of energy to keep up with an active family, which is what I need. I’m also working on losing about 15 pounds, so daily walks or playtime are right up my alley.

I’m crate trained, walk nicely on a leash, and I know my basic commands. I’m also heartworm negative. I do get a little nervous in the car and when I visit new places, but with a patient and loving family, I know I’ll get more confident.

I’m great with other dogs and tend to be very submissive—I have no interest in being the alpha. I get along well in a pack or would be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only pup. I get really excited when I meet new people—I just love making friends! Sometimes I forget how big I am and can be a little clumsy with my love, but I mean well and settle down quickly once I’ve said my happy hellos. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I am not sure how I’d do with them.
